Notary Public Tutorial
Welcome to the home page for the online course of education
for Wisconsin Notary Public applicants. The purpose of the course is to help you become a well-trained,
competent, and confident notary public by providing you with information on the
duties and responsibilities of a notary public. This will benefit you, the customers
you serve and the State of Wisconsin.
The tutorial is broken into 7 chapters of instruction,
each with a short practice quiz at the end of the chapter. At the end of the tutorial
there is a final exam for you to take to help assess your knowledge of notary public
duties and responsibilities.
Once you have completed the final exam, scoring 90% or higher, you will be able
to print a certificate of achievement. Please send the certificate in with your
notary public application to show that you have fulfilled the requirement that applicants
must be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of a Wisconsin Notary Public
(question 11 on the notary public application).
This course is designed so you can take your time to read each chapter, answer
the chapter quizzes, and use the gained knowledge to take the final exam. You may
take the tutorial as many times as you like and retake it in the future as a refresher.
If you feel you have excellent knowledge of the notary public duties and responsibilities
you may skip over the chapter readings and quizzes and go directly to the final
exam to assess your knowledge.
You can study the tutorial and take the chapter review quizzes in preparation for
the final exam. When you feel prepared to take the final exam, you must enter your
name as it appears on your notary seal. If you have any questions about the Wisconsin
Notary Public Education Course please e-mail
